Updating DNS to use Google services, is a breeze, and here's how you can set your DNS, in just a few clicks.
- Open up the control panel and select Manage, for the hosting account, or Domain Name you wish to modify
- Scroll down to the Domain Names sections, and select DNS
- In the top right panel, you will see two links, one labelled 'G Suite' the other 'Gmail'
- If you're using Google just for mail under your own domain name (MX records) use the 'Gmail' link
- For all the other G Suite applications, including records for Docs, Chat, Calendar, and services like Hangouts, use the 'G Suite' option
- The correct DNS records will be added to your DNS configuration, and those no longer required will be removed
- Check the settings and if happy, click Update DNS
The changes will take at least 1 hour to activate, but please bear in mind that DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate worldwide.
